Rewards

Our rewards and sanctions are consistent throughout the academy, so that children have continuity from class to class and have a better understanding of acceptable behaviour.

We recognise and reward helpful and cooperative behaviour, good work and achievement.

Our number one reward - Praise and a smile

Work stamps - Teachers have stampers that can be used for super work in books

Stickers and stamp cards - A whole school approach means that all staff, including middays, can give stickers. Pupils have booklets in which they can save their stickers.

Pupil of the week - In the Juniors, certificates are presented to pupils who are Stars of the week in assembly and they have their photos taken. Each child's parents also receive a message from the headteacher letting them know how well they've done.

The Linda Munro Citizenship Award - Pupils are nominated by their friends for having an outstanding quality.  The winning child receives a certificate in the whole school assembly, a trophy and a message is sent home to celebrate their achievement.

Stars of the Week - In the Infants and Foundation Stage, certificates are presented to pupils who are Stars of the week in assembly and they have their photos taken. Each child's parents also receive a message from the headteacher letting them know how well they've done.
