Class Blog Week Ending 05.6.26

Date: 4th Jun 2026 @ 7:33pm

This week, the children have been working hard across all areas of the curriculum and have shown fantastic effort in everything they’ve been doing.

In English, we have been reading the text Dragon Stew. The class has really enjoyed exploring the story and thinking about the different characters. We have focused on understanding how characters behave and what makes them unique. Over the next few lessons, the children will be working towards writing their own character descriptions, using powerful vocabulary and detailed ideas inspired by the text.

In Maths, the children have been revisiting place value. They have been practising reading, writing and representing numbers, as well as comparing and ordering them. This has helped to strengthen their confidence and understanding, which will support them in future learning.

In PSHE, the class has been learning about First Aid Skills. The children have engaged thoughtfully in discussions about how to keep themselves and others safe, and have begun to understand simple ways they can help in different situations.

We would also like to say how proud we are of the children for their continued effort as they work towards their Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). They have been practising regularly and showing great determination to improve their recall speed and accuracy.

Well done to everyone for another brilliant week—keep up the hard work!
