Welcome to Year 6- Class 13

Our Teachers

This year, the staff in Y6 are:

• Miss Cummins
• Mrs Wall and Mrs Baguley 

Our Year 6 teachers are supported by Mrs Axford, Mrs Begum, Miss Bennett, Mr Lee, Mrs Dunnington and Miss Wray. 

Online Learning 

All children have a login to Purple Mash, TT Rock Stars and Accelerated Reader. Homework will often be set on these websites. To keep children safe online they have been taught to keep their passwords and logins safe from others.

KS2 SATS

At the end of Year 6 most children will take the national, statutory assessments. Your child's teacher will keep you updated on your child's progress and how you can support them.

Reading Champions 

Your child will be bringing their reading book home in their book bag every night.  Please read with them as often as you can.  If your child reads at least 3 times a week, they will earn a ‘Reading Champion’ sticker and will work towards a termly reward with all of the Reading Champions across Greenhill Academy! 

In Year 6, it is vital that all children are reading regularly at home. They can read either a hard copy book or a digital book on their iPad using MyON. The children need to bring their iPad to school every day.
