Our Bucket Rules
Greenhill pupils follow the fill the BUCKET rules
- Be honest and respectful
- Use your manners
- Can always learn from mistakes
- Kindness and caring
- Everyday is a fresh start
- Try your best
but we also expect children to:
- come to school every day
- wear their school uniform
- have their P.E kit in school
- move around the academy building calmly and quietly
- play sensibly, safely and cooperatively outside
Rewards
Our rewards and sanctions are consistent throughout the academy, so that children have continuity from class to class and have a better understanding of acceptable behaviour.
We recognise and reward helpful and cooperative behaviour, good work and achievement.
Our number one reward - Praise and a smile
Work stamps - Teachers have stampers that can be used for super work in books
Stickers and stamp cards - A whole school approach means that all staff, including middays, can give stickers. Pupils have booklets in which they can save their stickers.
Pupil of the week - In Key Stage Two, certificates are presented to pupils who are Stars of the week in assembly and they have their photos taken. Each child's parents also receive a message from the Head of Academy letting them know how well they've done.
The Linda Munro Citizenship Award - Pupils are nominated by their friends for having an outstanding quality. The winning child receives a certificate in the whole school assembly, a trophy and a message is sent home to celebrate their achievement.
Stars of the Week - In Foundation Stage and Key Stage One, certificates are presented to pupils who are Stars of the week in assembly and they have their photos taken. Each child's parents also receive a message from the Head of Academy letting them know how well they've done.
Reading Champions- Each week children from EYFS, Key Stage One and Two are chosen for being super readers at home and at school. The children receive a Reading Champions badge and have their photograph taken for the Twitter feed.
Attendance Heroes- In whole school assembly a child from each of EYFS, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two with 100% attendance are chosen as our heroes of the week. They receive a certificate, their name goes in the newsletter and they are entered for our termly prize draw.
