Our Amazing Week in Year 4!

This week has been full of fun and learning in Year 4! We’ve done so many exciting things, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Trip to the Pantomime – Beauty and the Beast

On Thursday, we went to see the pantomime Beauty and the Beast. It was incredible! The costumes were bright and colourful, and the actors were so funny. We loved joining in with the singing and shouting.The Beast’s transformation was magical, and the whole show taught us about kindness and bravery. It was a day we’ll never forget!

Learning About Length in Maths

In maths, we explored length. We measured objects around the classroom  and we learned how to convert centimetres to metres and cm into mm. Some of us were surprised at how accurate our guesses were! Measuring is such an important skill, and now we feel like real mathematicians.

Greek Dancing Fun

In PE, we tried Greek dancing! It was so much fun learning the steps and moving in a circle to the music. We discovered that Greek dances often tell stories and bring people together. It was a great way to exercise and learn about another culture at the same time.

Making Music on Purple Mash

We also became musicians this week using Purple Mash. We created our own tunes and experimented with different instruments and rhythms. It was amazing to see how technology can help us make music. Some of our songs were so catchy that we couldn’t stop humming them!
