Class Blog Week Ending 20.1.26

Date: 23rd Jan 2026 @ 4:48pm

This week in Year 4, we enjoyed a cross‑curricular adventure as we explored rainforests, coding, and design technology.

Using micro:bits, the children created simple programs. In Geography, we compared different world rainforests using Venn diagrams, identifying similarities and differences in habitats, wildlife, and environmental challenges.

To bring the topic to life even further, the children used split pins to make lever mechanisms in D.T., designing moving rainforest‑themed pictures such as flapping birds and snapping crocodiles. It has been a creative and exciting week of learning!
