Nursery Blog - Where in the world I would go?

Date: 29th Jun 2026 @ 9:25am

It’s been a wonderful term in Nursery so far and we are so proud of how much the children have grown. As we move towards the end of the year, it’s fantastic to see their confidence shining through in everything they do - from joining in with group times to sharing ideas with friends and exploring the classroom with real independence.

This term has been full of movement, creativity and imagination. The children have enjoyed big mark‑making with rollers and brushes, tummy‑time writing and music sessions to build strong bodies for writing, and lots of drama and action as they explored different vehicles and journeys. They’ve been practising important maths skills too - using positional language like over, under, around and next to, building streets and houses with blocks, and beginning to count carefully, one object at a time.

We’ve also seen brilliant progress in early writing. The children have been giving meaning to their marks, labelling their creations, making maps, and talking confidently about what they’ve made. Their communication skills have grown beautifully, with children retelling events, using new vocabulary and chatting happily with friends and adults.

Thank you to all the children this term. Their curiosity, independence and enthusiasm have made Nursery a wonderful place to be. We can’t wait to celebrate their final weeks in Nursery.
