his Week’s Learning – Peepo 📖🏡🍁
This week, we have been exploring the lovely book Peepo, which has helped us think and talk about daily routines, family, and the world around us.
We have been drawing and labelling pictures of our families, thinking carefully about who lives in our home. The children have enjoyed talking about their family members and practising their speaking and listening skills during group discussions. This supports their communication and language development, as well as early writing skills.
In maths, we’ve been using autumn treasures like leaves and pinecones to support our counting. We introduced a five frame to help us match numerals to quantities and deepen our understanding of numbers to 5. The children have really enjoyed these hands-on activities, developing their number recognition and one-to-one correspondence.
