This week in Year 5 13/06/2025

It has been a really exciting week in Year 5! We have been working so hard in preparing for our Shakespeare Festival. Thank you so much to everyone who has bought tickets, we really hope that you are as excited as we are for the performance. Please make sure that you are practice your lines and scenes at home with your children.

We were also joined by a visitor from 'Westend in Schools' who took us back in time to the Victorian period, where we had a brilliantly fascinating session learning about the Victorians through drama. The children had so much fun and learnt a lot about the different jobs that Victorian children would have, what the workhouses were like and what schools were like 150 years ago. 

Next week, we will start our learning on Frankenstein which is a great story. Please make sure that you read this at home with your child over the weekend as a part of their home learning so that they are prepared to start our learning on the monster's story next week.
