This week in Year 6 - WB 02.06.25

Date: 5th Jun 2025 @ 9:39am

This week in Year 6 we have been doing some creative writing, inspired by the short film 'Alma'.  We have worked hard to include all our figurative language, including metaphors, similes and personifciation.  The children have produced some fabulous wriitng and you can really see the progress that they have made this year.

In Maths this week we have been consolidating our learning of Division.  The children have been practicing their short and long division in order to aid them when answering reasoning questions.

In Topic we have continued with our new topic 'Extreme Regions'.  The children have found out what an extreme region is and have been able to explain where in the world we would find them.  We have also been learning about the World Famous explorer, 'Ranulph Fiennes' and his adventures across the globe.  Ask your child to tell you what they have learnt about him so far.
