This Week in Year 2! 🌟

We have had a fantastic week in Year 2!

In Art, we have been exploring our outdoor area and searching for natural materials to use in our artwork. We have been learning about the wonderful artist Andy Goldsworthy, who creates beautiful pieces of art using natural materials such as leaves, sticks, stones and flowers. We were inspired by his work and enjoyed getting creative with what we found! 🍂🌿

We have been getting creative and using lots of blocks to design and build our very own farms! We worked together to carefully construct our farm buildings and thought about all the different things we might find on a farm.🏡🐑

In English, we have been working towards our final piece of writing – a retell of The Big Bad Owl. We have been busy acting out the story, sequencing events and practising using interesting adjectives to bring our writing to life. We are so excited to put all of our learning together and write our very best retells! 📚✏️

We are also very excited to discover our new book next week and find out what adventures are waiting for us! 👀
