w/c 13.07.2026 this week in Year 2

Year 2 had a fantastic visit from a talented author and poet. He taught us all about rhymes and word play, and even made silly rhyming names for all of the teachers, which made us laugh a lot!

We loved listening to his poems and learning how poets use their imagination to create fun and exciting verses. The visit gave us lots of inspiration and plenty of ideas for writing our own poems back in the classroom.

It was a fun and memorable experience, and we would like to say a big thank you to our special visitor for such an enjoyable day! 📚✏️✨
