W/C 24.02.2025 This week in Year 2!

We have had an excellent start to the term! 

We loved reading our new text in English: The Great Explorer! We did a lot of drama retelling the story and enjoyed trying on Miss Coyle's walking boots. 

Our new topic this term is 'How will we remember you?' We started this work by learning about Florence Nightingale and how she was a nurse in the Crimean War. 

Maths has been fun and practical this week, we have learnt about odd and even numbers and how to read and write numbers in words. 

Class 5 are looking forward to the Choral Speaking Festival at Queen Elizabeth Hall next Tuesday at 1.15pm - please join us if you can!

Class 5 - Wednesday and Thursday - Please ensure that children have trainers for their football session on Thursday.
