Week beginning 29.09.25

Date: 1st Oct 2025 @ 8:26am

This week in Class 11 the children have been learning how to mentally multiply by 10, 100 and 1000. After a few practices the children were able to understand the concept of multiplying by these numbers.

They finished their lesson by playing 'Roll the dice'. This supported their understanding and the children had lots of fun multiplying by 10, 100 and 1000.

Whilst they have really enjoyed their maths and literacy lessons, PE has definitely been one of their favourite lessons this week.

This week in PE, the children have learnt how to create shapes whilst balancing on either one leg or one arm and one leg. The children were very creative and really impressed Miss Gilmour with their balancing skills.

We then moved on to different types of rolls. The children set the hall up by placing mats around the room. They then moved into small groups and took it in turns to practice their log rolls, egg rolls and forward rolls.

Next week, we will be putting all of our PE learning into a sequence.
