WHAT WE HAVE BEEN LEARNING IN CLASS 11

Date: 2nd Oct 2026 @ 4:21pm

This week in Numeracy, we have been focusing on subtraction and developing our confidence using column subtraction.

In Literacy, we are studying balanced arguments. The children have been exploring both sides of the question: Was King Henry VIII a good king or a bad king?

In Comprehension, our texts have been based on poetry. The children have successfully used their vocab skills, developed their understanding of figurative language, and compared two different poems.

In Science, we are learning about Forces. The class have particularly enjoyed taking part in practical experiments!

In Topic (History), we are currently learning all about the Tudors.

In PSHE, we focused on self-esteem and discussed what makes us unique and special. The children created their own posters to celebrate their positive qualities and strengths.

Thank you for another great week!
