Last week the children were learning about African animal. They had great fun in our African small world and using warm colours to create an African picture.

Hello and welcome back!

Hope you all had a lovely summer. It's great to have the children back and they seem ready to learn.

We have enjoyed getting stuck into learning this week with colour exploring art, fruit tasting and travelling in PE.

The children have settled back into routine well and I am looking forward to an exciting year.

Building Independence.

This week in Base 1 we have been learning about animals we find in the garden. The children have really enjoyed getting creative making caterpillar and butterfly pictures.

Busy Week

The children have been working hard this week.

We have been mark making in shaving foam, directing Beetbots to different shapes and counting the skittles as they fall down.

Out of this world Curriculum week

This week for Curriculum week we have been focusing on life in the future and how robots will help us.

The children had great fun exploring what robots can do and designing their own robots.

Half term Break

Under the Sea

Another busy week in class!

The children have enjoyed exploroing our under the sea sensory tray, collage and printing sea pictures.

We even make cakes this week with blue icing sea and biscuit sand :)

Fun on the farm

This week, the children have been learning all about the farm.

We had great fun giving the muddy animals a bath and creating edible animal faces.

The Base children have settled in well to the new routine of the classroom. We have made the most of the sunshine with outdoor learning linked to out topic Animals and Places.
