This week the children have been learning about another farm animal...pigs!
The children practiced following instructions and worked together to make edible mud for their pigs. We had lots of fun letting our pigs play in the mud!

This week the children have been practicing their mark making in different materials. We are working on being able to recognise and write the first lettter of our name as well as exploring different movements to make marks.

This week in PE we have being looking at travelling using different parts of our body. The children have developed jumping, climbing, balancing skills using their feet, tummy, back, knees.

This term the children are looking at different modes of transport. This week, they were using cars to mark make and then clean them.
The children really enjoyed using the copayment water to clean the cars.

This week in class we have been exploring our learning using our different senses.
The children had great fun playing with the snow, mark making in the sand and using the instruments to create music.
We have also been using paint to create caterpillar and butterfly pictures.

This week we have been looking at the book Minibeast, Follow the trail.
The children have been creating their own minibeast book and mark making using different materials. We have looked at the lifecycle of a butterfly and created music for the butterfly to dance to.
The children have loved getting messy with all the minibeasts!

This week in Base 1 we have been looking at flowers and exploring the differetn parts. The children have enjoyed taking plants appart, creating a flower with materials and using parts of their body to create flowers with paint.

This week in class we have been learning all about different types weather and what clothes we need wear. The children had great fun dressing up in different clothes and learning about the weather.

The children have had a fantastic week making their hats, mats and cards for the christmas dinner and party.
They made handprint placemats.
They had a lovely dinnertime eating their lovell dinner whilst listening to the music.

The children in the Learning bases have been looking at 'Castles' during their topic learning.
They have used the small world play castles and have enjoyed making the castle walls.
On Friday, they used the large boxes to try and create their own large castle. The had so much fun investigating the boxes that the castle is yet to be built.
The children also created an extention to their castle role play using junk modelling.

This week the children have been learning about their bodies and created faces using fruit.
They selected the fruit they wanted for the different parts of the face. When they had finished, the children had fun eating them!

The children have come back to school ready to learn. It has been great to see how much they have grown over the summer.
There has been some lovely focus and learning with our task boxes and the children really enjoyed making chocolate brownies this week too!

The children have been looking at the story of Little Red Riding Hood.
We loved making biscuits for Granny and making a basket for them. The children were careful to watch out for the big bad Wolf!
Using the mirrors, the children looked to see if they had big facial features like the wolf and practiced making funny faces.

The children have been developing their magic skills. We made wands like the witch and created bubbling potions.
The children were very interested in what happens when certain ingredients are mixed together.

This week we have been looking at 'Room on the Broom' by Julia Donaldson.
The children had a visit from the witch and have been learning all about the characters in the story.
In ICT the children have been using 2Simple to draw a picture from the story. They have been developing their turn taking and matching skills in a bingo game.

This week the children have been exploring space and who they will find there. We have made Aliens and travelled into space in serach of the aliens.

This morning, the children put on their helmets, got into their flying saucers and flew off to space!
When we arrived, we saw lots of stars and planets. We needed to be careful on the space rocks and hot gas volcano!

It's snowing! In class we're so excited for the snow and couldn't wait to play in it! The children made footprints in the snow and had a go at rolling snow men.
We were sad once it melted so Miss Winterbottom brought us some in ?

The children in class have loved exploring their new equipment. They are developing their gross motor skills on the climbing frame and stepping stones.
On the seesaw and spinning top, they are enjoying the sensation of spinning. They also make great seats ?
