Greenhill Academy: The Learning Base 2: Blog items

The children have enjoyed practicing their song for the christmas cracker. The children are looking forward to watching the rest of the school performing their song.

The children have also made gorgeous christmas cards. We hope you like them.

The children in LB2 have all joined in with their remote learning whilst the class is self isolating. They have shown their parents how good they are at reading their books at home and making and writing words.

Learning - LB2 - week ending -27.11.2020

This week, learning base 2 have enjoyed looking at the 'pilot in the cockpit pobble picture' and have researched different airports around the world.

Unfortunately the children were unable to finish their learning as the bubble closed on Wednesday and will return back to school Wednesday 9th December. Mrs.Sullivan-Lomax has spent today calling the parents and children at home to see how they are getting with their home learning packs that were given out yesterday and to check all parents have access to and can access the school website.

Learning in LB2 20.11.2020

This week in Learning Base 2, the children have been involved in anti-bullying week. They talked about what actions are nice towards other children and how they would like to be treated by others. The children added painted flowers to their cut out handprints and then added words to describe how they could be a good friend to another child.

Learning Base 2 drew round their own hands and cut them out. They placed them all together to make a wreath and then added poppies.

The children have had a fabulous week doing lots of learning. They have designed, described and written about their own treasure boxes in Literacy. They have worked on the values of numerals using the numicon in maths and have worked with their friends on lots of activities.

Amazing learning in LB2 - week ending 16.10.2020

The children in Learning Base 2 have continued their topic learning about ‘families’ and where they live. The children looked at different houses in different settings and talked about which house they would like to live in. They then designed their own dream house, described it and wrote about it. The children have been using their counting skills to add numbers to 10 using different equipment.
